my gamecube (actually my best friend's) likes to get disk errors. with the ps2, you get the dreaded DRE, but with gamecubes it boots and then picks the perfect time to say "a fatal error has occurred. please consult your gamecube owner's manual."

My XBOX is quite fond of locking up in the middle of gameplay... the freeze is usually accompanied by a loud pitched buzzing that makes me think the system is screaming to be put out of its misery. I would acknowledge it's wishes if that new Pirates game wasn't so damn fun.

An excellent Xbox repair site. That is, if you want to attempt fixing it yourself. Two days ago that site helped me figure out that my completely toasted Xbox was suffering from a corrupt BIOS and helped me fix that issue. That Xbox is now fully functional, and serving as the bedroom Media Center.

First thing I would think is you've got a dying DVD drive. Something as simple as a cleaning of the drive will probably help you out quite a bit.

Oooh, Pirates!

I'm currently in my "kick the Spanish out of the Carribean" game. I'm wondering what'll happen when there's no more Spanish cities for all the villains to visit...

I finally got Katamari Damacy last week and have now had about three nights of dreams wherein I was rolling the friggin' Katamari. Fucking addictive game, but it's too damn short. By the time you reach the really cool stuff, it's over. Oh well. I'll keep going for the shooting stars and the Level 8 Eternal. And my girlfriend will continue to complain about me thrashing around at night as I roll the world up in my dreams.

the best thing about katamari is the song that goes something like " I want to roll you up in my life" but sounds like " I want to woll you up in my wife"

The Katamari Soundtrack is a lot of fun. I'd go as far to say that it's worth paying the high import price.

I saw the soundtrack at Virgin records in Chicago for like $27. I couldn't justify buying it, though I do like the music.

the katamari damacy 2 soundtrack is of a similar vein... it's just not as catchy. I don't know how to explain it, but it's just not as good. some of the songs from 1 are remixed but none match up to the originals.

So, are there a fair number of levels in the second one that display the same changing scale of Make the Moon? My only real problem with the first one is that that's the only level that has such growth. I want to start rolling up thumtacks and end rolling up the solar system, dammit!
